On 22nd October 2019 the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) mandated most current and prospective Independent Directors take an online proficiency test held by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). The exam will improve corporate literacy and make the IDs aware of their duties, roles and responsibilities.
Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad has prepared a course to help those taking this exam. This 16hr program on 24-27 August will cover basics of Indian company law, ethics, and capital market norms.

Even if you are exempt from taking the exam you need to register with IICA.
As you are aware ASCI is a prestigious institution set up in 1956 by the GoI to train senior civil servants of the country.
